FAQS

Frequently asked questions.

Yes. Chemist Click is a UK registered pharmacy regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Our pharmacy and pharmacy professionals can be independently checked on the GPhC register.

We believe patients should be able to easily identify who is responsible for providing their medicines and how our service is regulated.

Yes. Medicines supplied by Chemist Click are sourced through regulated UK pharmaceutical supply chains and dispensed from our registered UK pharmacy.

Prescription medicines are only supplied following an appropriate clinical assessment and where the prescriber considers the treatment safe and suitable for you.

Prescription medicines are not automatically supplied when you place an order.

You will first complete a clinical consultation which is reviewed by an appropriately qualified prescriber. The prescriber considers information such as your symptoms, medical history, current medicines and other relevant risk factors before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.

If further information is required, we may contact you before a prescribing decision is made.

Your safety comes first. If a prescriber decides that a medicine is not appropriate for you, it will not be prescribed.

Depending on the circumstances, we may ask for further information, recommend another appropriate treatment or advise you to speak to your GP or another healthcare professional.

We will also explain when symptoms require more urgent medical assessment.

Our clinical services are delivered and overseen by registered healthcare professionals.

You can see the pharmacists, prescribers and other clinical professionals involved in our service, together with their qualifications, professional registration details and areas of expertise, on our Clinical Team page.

Yes. Our pharmacy team is available if you have questions about your treatment, how to take your medicine, possible side effects or anything else relating to your medication.

We encourage patients to contact us if they are unsure about their treatment or experience a problem after starting it.

You complete a confidential medical questionnaire about your health, symptoms, medical history and current medicines.

Your information is then clinically assessed to determine whether the treatment you have requested is appropriate.

Where necessary, additional information may be requested before a decision is made.

Prescription treatment is only supplied where the prescriber considers it clinically appropriate.

Patient safety is built into every stage of our service.

This includes clinical assessments before prescription treatment is supplied, checks for relevant medical conditions and medicines, appropriate prescribing criteria, pharmacy dispensing checks, treatment counselling and safety-netting where appropriate.

Our clinical policies and services are reviewed as part of our clinical governance processes.

Information you provide during a consultation is treated as confidential medical information and handled in accordance with applicable UK data-protection requirements.

We only collect and use information where necessary to provide and safely manage our pharmacy and clinical services.

We are registered with the Information Commissioners Office (the UK’s data protection regulator), as a data controller, demonstrating our commitment to responsible handling of personal information.

If you have questions or concerns about a medicine supplied by us, please contact our pharmacy team for advice.

If you experience severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, you should seek urgent medical attention rather than waiting for an online response. Call 999 in an emergency or use NHS 111 if you require urgent medical advice.
